Results from LC-MS/MS analysis showed that the water and chloroform fractions of S. nodiflora have more than 20 compounds. The dominant compounds on water fractions, primarily oxyphyllacinol, valine, and sugiol, were reported as having strong antioxidant activity in vitro and in the cell line model.
