MedKoo Cat#: 573465 | Name: Acoramidis sodium

Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Acoramidis, also known as AG-10. is novel, potent, highly selective, orally bioavailable transthyretin (TTR) stabilizer with potential disease-modifying activity. AG-10 inhibits amyloidogenesis and cellular toxicity of the familial amyloid cardiomyopathy-associated V122I transthyretin. AG10 has been shown to stabilize Transthyretin (TTR or TBPA) --- a transport protein in serum and cerebrospinal fluid that carries the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4) and retinol-binding protein bound to retinol --- in Symptomatic Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy. In this way, AG10 mimics a naturally occurring genetic variant, T119M, that protects from Transthyretin Amyloidosis.
