Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Rbin-2 is a novel cell penetrant, potent, selective and reversible inhibitor of Midasin, inhibiting eukaryotic ribosome biogenesis and directly targeting AAA+ ATPase Midasin. Rbin-2 is a potent Rbin-1 analog that is likely to have a similar mechanism of action. RBIN-2 results in inhibition of Mdn1’s steady-state ATPase activity.

Product Data
Biological target:
Rbin-2 is a potent, reversible and selective inhibitor of Midasin (Mdn1. Rbin-2 inhibits eukaryotic ribosome biogenesis and is a powerful probe for the eukaryotic ribosome assembly.
In vitro activity:
Analyses of Rbin sensitivity and resistance conferring mutations in fission yeast, as well as biochemical assays with recombinant proteins, provide evidence that Rbins' physiological target is Midasin. The findings of this study demonstrate that Rbins are powerful probes for eukaryotic ribosome assembly. Reference: Cell. 2016 Oct 6;167(2):512-524.e14. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27667686/
