Veratrosine inhibits hedgehog (Hh) signaling in a reporter assay using NIH3T3 cells and inhibits aggregation of isolated rabbit platelets induced by arachidonic acid. It induces DNA damage in the cerebellum and cerebral cortex in mice and decreases angiotensin II-induced increases in systolic blood pressure in mice.
