MedKoo Cat#: 317329 | Name: Bisoprolol hemifumarate
Featured

Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Bisoprolol hemifumarate is a cardioselective beta-1 adrenergic blocker. It is effective in the management of hypertension and angina pectoris. Bisoprolol hemifumarate has antihypertensive and potential cardioprotective activities. Devoid of intrinsic sympathomimetic activity, bisoprolol selectively and competitively binds to and blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart, decreasing cardiac contractility and rate, reducing cardiac output, and lowering blood pressure. This product has no formal name at the moment. For the convenience of communication, a temporary code name was therefore proposed according to MedKoo Chemical Nomenclature (see web page: https://www.medkoo.com/page/naming).
