Tipindole is serotonin antagonist. It is also a monamine oxidase inhibitor. Tipindole exerts no effect on the serotonin-induced contraction and relaxation of the bladder detrusor. Tipindole depresses reflexes from pericardial receptors considerably more than reflexes from carotid sinus receptors.
