Lamifiban, also known as Ro 44-9883, is a platelet glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitor or platelet aggregation inhibitor, Lamifiban prevents platelet loss during experimental cardiopulmonary bypass. Lamifiban inhibits platelet aggregation and thrombus formation by preventing the binding of fibrinogen to platelets.
