HUP30 is a vasodilating agent. HUP30 antagonized both extracellular Ca(2+) influx and Ca(2+) mobilization from intracellular stores in response to phenylephrine: this effect was not modified by the presence of ODQ. I(Ba(L)) was blocked by HUP30 in a concentration-dependent as well as ODQ-independent manner. HUP30 are vasorelaxing agents that stimulate soluble guanylyl cyclase, activate K(+) channels, and block extracellular Ca(2+) influx.
