NSC-639828 is a benzoylphenylurea derivative and a main metabolite of HO-221 (NSC24548). This compound was first reported in patent EP 413977 (1991). This compound showed a board range of bioactivities including antitumor, anti-HCV infection; etc. NSC639828 inhibited the activities of E. coli DNA polymerase I and calf thymus DNA polymerase α. Excess DNA polymerase I or DNA polymerase α dramatically reduced the inhibition produced by these compds. NSC639828 also showed inhibitory effects of the synthesome-assocd.
