EG-00229 trifluoroacetate is a Neuropilin 1 (NRP1) receptor antagonist which inhibits the binding of VEGFA to the NRP1 b1 domain. EG-00229 TFA has no effect on the binding of VEGFA to VEGFR-1 and VEGFR-2. EG-00229 TFA reduces VEGFA-induced VEGFR-2 tyrosine phosphorylation, attenuates VEGFA-induced HUVEC cell migration, and reduces A549 lung carcinoma cell viability in vitro.
