Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Tannic acid is a form of the polyphenol tannin, with a weak acidity. Tannic acid is a potent antioxidant with anticarcinogenic activities. Treatment with tannic acid has been shown to inhibit hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, acanthosis, mast cells and infiltration of inflammatory cells in the AD mouse skin, and inhibit tumor necrosis factor (TNF)α, thus treating atopic dermatitis.
