Methotrexate monohydrate is a DHhF reductase inhibitor used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, ectopic pregnancy, and various cancers. It prevents synthesis of thymidine, and RNA. It also increases T cell apoptosis, decreases T cell activation and suppresses cytokine production.
