Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Tomatine is an glycoalkaloid that occurs in the extract of leaves of wild tomato plants. It has been found to inhibit the growth of various fungi and bacteria. It is used as a precipitating agent for steroids. Treatment of human myeloid leukemia HL‑60 cells with tomatine has been shown to result in growth inhibition and apoptosis in a concentration‑dependent manner.
