VA-K-14 is a TSHR antagonist (thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor). VA-K-14 had an IC50 = 12.32 μM. VA-K-14 can specifically inhibit TSHR signaling. It was identified through high - throughput screening (HTS) using a transcription - based TSH - inhibition bioassay. In the assay, it showed significant inhibition of TSH - induced activation of the TSHR - expressing CHO cells. Its IC₅₀ value was 12.3 μM, indicating its potency in inhibiting TSHR - mediated responses.
