Fenticonazole nitrate is a 14-α demethylase inhibitor and potential glucosamine-6-phosphate synthase inhibitor that inhibits ergosterol synthesis and fungal cell wall formation. It inhibits secretion of proteinase and suppresses growth of Candida, Trichomonas, and gram positive bacteria.
