MedKoo Cat#: 146257 | Name: Physcione

Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

Physcion (also known as physcione) is a naturally occurring anthraquinone derivative found in plants like Rheum tanguticum and fungi such as Microsporum species. It has demonstrated anticancer, anti-inflammatory, hepatoprotective, and antimicrobial properties. In cancer research, physcion has shown potential as an anticancer agent. It induces apoptosis and autophagy in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells by generating reactive oxygen species (ROS), which activate the miR-27a/ZBTB10 axis and suppress the transcription factor Sp1 .
