DNBS, also known as 2,4-Dinitrobenzenesulfonic Acid (sodium salt), is a hapten. It induces the proliferation of primary lymphocytes and epithelial cells isolated from guinea pigs sensitized to 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (2,4-DNCB) when used at concentrations of 25, 50, or 100 ppm.
