In vitro activity:
PT1 shows strong selection to SO2 derivatives over other biothiols, with a limit of detection as low as 62 nM. Precise spatiotemporal identification of lysosomal SO2 fluctuations has been successfully performed by PT1.

In vivo activity:
Pt-1 strongly inhibited angiogenesis in a zebrafish in vivo model at its therapeutically relevant nontoxic dose. Further, Pt-1 exerted antitumor activity through necroptosis- and paraptosis-mediated cell death. Pt1 significantly reduces fungal load in an in vivo G. mellonella infection model.
