VU533 is a potent NAPE-PLD activator with an EC50 value of 0.30 µM. VU533 activates NAPE-PLD by enhancing its enzymatic activity. This results in increased levels of N-acylethanolamines (NAEs) in cells, particularly anandamide. The IC50 values for the activation of NAPE-PLD were in the low micromolar range (around 2-5 μM), indicating its potency in vitro.
