ZLY28 is an FXR and FABP1 dual modulator. In a mouse model of NASH, ZLY28 significantly alleviated fatty liver by modulating multiple pathogenic pathways, including lipid metabolism and inflammation. Its therapeutic effects are achieved through the inhibition of FABP1 and activation of the FXR-FGF15 signaling pathway in the ileum. Notably, ZLY28's action is confined to the intestine, which minimizes systemic exposure and reduces potential side effects.
