BMPH is a heterobifunctional crosslinker responsible for the conjugation of glycoproteins and sulfhydryl-containing peptides or proteins. BMPH contains sulfhydryl-reactive maleimide and carbonyl-reactive hydrazide moieties, forming stable thioether bonds and hydrazone bonds respectively. BMPH has been used as a crosslinker in the biotinylation of antibodies.
