ACE-083 has undergone multiple clinical trials for various neuromuscular diseases, with varying results. ACE-083 has undergone phase 2 clinical trials for the treatment of FSHD, which found that although treatment with ACE-083 led to an increase in muscle volume, function did not improve, so the program of using ACE-083 for treating FSHD was discontinued.
