BP Lipid 140 is an ionizable lipid analogous to SM-102. The propanolamine amino lipid head enhances encapsulation of mRNA. The lipid has primary esters at C6 and C8 position relative to the amine nitrogen. The primary ester at C6 position has a 7-carbons lipid tail. The lipid can be used for mRNA-based therapies which depends on the availability of a safe and efficient delivery vehicle.
