WYE-28 is a potent and selective inhibitor of the mechanistic target of rapamycin (mTOR), an essential kinase involved in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and survival. It inhibits mTOR with an IC50 of 0.08 nM and displays 75-fold selectivity over PI3Kα (IC50 = 6 nM). As an ATP-competitive inhibitor, WYE-28 binds to the catalytic site of mTOR, effectively blocking its activity
