SCOTfluor 510, or SCOTfluor 510 fluoro, is a precursor that, upon reaction with amine groups, can be used for the synthesis of fluorescent probes. It can be used to generate functionalized lactic acid, glucose and ceramide fluorescent probes for real-time, in situ imaging of small molecule metabolites in vivo and in live cells. The fluorescent adduct excitation maximum = 510 nm; emission maximum = 606 nm.
