Description:

WARNING: This product is for research use only, not for human or veterinary use.

HFN-71940 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of nitrososarcosine by GC- or LC-MS. N-Nitrososarcosine is a nitrosamine. It has been found in smoked and cured meats and tobacco smoke. Dietary administration of N-nitrososarcosine (0.25%) induces tumors in mice and administration via the drinking water at doses of 100 or 200 mg/kg induces tumors in rats. This product has no formal name. For the convenience of scientific communication, we named it by combining its InChi Key (3 letters from the first letter of each section) with the last 5 digit of its CAS#) according to MedKoo Chemical Nomenclature (https://www.medkoo.com/page/naming).
