JF 526 is a fluorogenic yellow fluorescent dye. It is supplied as an NHS ester for coupling to primary amine groups. NHS esters can be converted to relevant substrates for use in self-labeling tag systems, e.g. HaloTag® and SNAP-tag®. It is suitable for confocal fluorescent imaging and super-resolution microscopy (SRM) techniques, such as dSTORM (live and fixed cells) and STED. NHS esters can be multiplexed for two color imaging with Janelia Fluor® 635 SE. It is cell permeable and has an excitation maximum = 526 nm, emission maximum = 550 nm, quantum yield = 0.87, and extinction coefficient = 118,000 M-1cm-1.
