WV970 a multikinase inhibitor (IC50 in the nanomolar range) that displays anti-influenza activity. It inhibits multiple kinases, including JAK-2, with 61% inhibition at 50 nM. Its antiviral activity is similar to that of oseltamivir carboxylate (IC50 0.012 μM), which is a currently available antiviral drug. It exhibits potent antiviral activity against the influenza A strain A/Udorn/307/1972 (H3N2) and influenza B strains B/Yamagata/16/88 and B/Nagasaki/1/87
