ASTA-6496 crosslinks DNA and induces T cell apoptosis independent of death receptor activation but activates mitochondrial death pathways through production of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Formulations containing the prodrug Cyclophosphamide are used to treat lymphomas and autoimmune disorders.
