Tuberine, (+)- is an alkaloid isolated from Haplophyllum tuberculatum that has high antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Tuberine, (+)- is also slightly inhibitory to Escherichia coli .
