Product Data
Biological target:
SF-11 is an NPY Y2 antagonist (IC50 = 199 nM).
In vitro activity:
To be determined
In vivo activity:
SF-11 elicited a rapid antidepressant-like response in a rat model of depression, possibly linked to its ability to inhibit glutamatergic neurotransmission. SF-11 produced an antidepressant-like effect after single or three-day administration in rats subjected to astrocyte impairment. SF-11 reversed the L-AAA-induced astrocyte cell death in the medial prefrontal cortex, suggesting it is glioprotective.
