Copper probe CF4 or CF4 probe, is a fluorescent copper probe. CF4 is a Cu+-specific fluorescent sensor based on a rhodol dye scaffold that displays a tenfold increase in fluorescence in response to copper; is stable in a physiologically relevant pH regime between 6 and 8; has high copper selectivity, particularly over zinc and iron, as well as abundant cellular alkali and alkaline earth metals ; and has a 1:1 Cu+:probe binding stoichiometry and an apparent Kd of 2.9 × 10−13 M. This product is being supplied as solution at 100 mg/mL.
